How Chinese Dress:

Men mostly wear western style suits, and women tend to wear dresses more than pants. What food Chinese people traditionally eat:
In north China the staple food is wheat, they use it for noodles and pot stickers In the south the staple food is rice. Commonly in all regions, chefs pay a lot of attention towards presentation, aroma, and flavor. Usually a dish will try to combine 3-5 colors such a dark green, light green, red, yellow. The aromas are provided by scallions, ginger, garlic, chilies, wine, star anise, cinnamon, pepper, sesame oil, and dried Chinese black mushrooms. China's population was increasing since the 1950’s thanks, to china's leader (Mao Zedong) at the time saying that having more children would help out the economy. China’s population ended up increasing too much. So they implemented a one child policy in 1979. In Chinese culture today both women and men tend to work, so the children stay with grandparents or daycare's Woman use to just be housewives, but today they do all those housewife roles plus having a job. Family life is still very important to Chinese culture even if they can only have one child. The children are still expected to take care of their parents when they’re old. The elderly are highly respected. Sons tend to be more important to families because they stay and don’t leave when it comes to marriage. People tend to live in apartments in the cities, even though they are small. There are larger homes in rural areas but they lack amenities like heat and water. Because of changing times, many people now have cars in China. Some adults take their elderly parents on vacations in china or overseas so they can do some shopping. Overseas brand names are a lot less expensive then they are in China.
Sports also play an important role in lives in China. The country's favorite sports include soccer, table tennis, swimming, and badminton. There are usually sports facilitates most places in China. Basketball, dancing, yoga, walking, jogging are also common occurrences you see throughout China. Chinese play table games like Majiang because most people know how to play it. Parks and courtyards are often filled in the morning by those practicing taijiquan, a traditional form of shadowboxing that provides exercise and therapy.
